One of the data points provided by the file-level analysis endpoint is author_contributions_fragmentation, which is calculated based on an author's commits throughout the entire history of the file. The equation for this is:

A fractal value of 0.0 means a single author has written all the code, whereas the closer to 1.0 we get, the more contributors there are.
